Easy Baobab Cinnamon Rolls

These are so delicious you'd think it was a crime to be eating them! Get your baking hats on and dig into this easy baobab and cinnamon-packed recipe.

Baobab Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

 

Dough:

  • 2.5 tsp sachet fast-action dried yeast
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 60ml of warm water
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 300ml of almond milk
  • 360g wheat flour
  • 200g wholemeal flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar

Filling:

Glaze:

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp almond milk

    Method

     

    1. Mix the yeast, brown sugar, and warm water. Let stand for 10 minutes.
    2. Mix the milk and butter, a little warm. Add yeast mass.
    3. In a separate bowl mix the flour with the salt. Stir liquid components.
    4. Put on weight floured surface and knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
    5. How to knead the dough: stretch a long strip, roll edge to him and stop his hands pull away. Repeat so, until the dough is rolled into a roll, turn it 90 degrees and repeat.
    6. The finished dough back into the bowl clean (you can grease the wall), cover with a damp towel and put in the heat for 30 minutes.
    7. Prepare the filling. Dates are washed, cleaned of seeds and grind in a food processor. Mix the cinnamon, almond milk and olive oil.
    8. The finished dough rolls into a rectangular layer of 4-7 mm thickness. The aspect ratio of approximately 2x3.
    9. Distribute evenly filling. Sprinkle with baobab powder.
    10. Carefully roll the dough into a loaf. It is important that the layers abut one another.
    11. Cut the knife or thread rolls future of the roll. The width of the cut segments should be approximately the height of your smooth form in which they will bake.
