Non-Alcoholic "Mulled Wine" with added Baobab

This vegan-friendly, baobab fruit-packed mulled wine recipe will be heaven for your taste buds. The drinks are perfect for these cold, dark nights.

Non-Alcoholic "Mulled Wine" with added Baobab

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp of PandaVita organic baobab powder
  • 4 cup grape or apple juice
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 tbsp grated lemon peel
  • 2 tbsp grated orange peel
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 clove buds
  • 4 pea allspice
  • a pinch of ground ginger
  • a pinch of ground cardamom
  • 1 orange, cut into thin slices
  • 1 tsp of honey

Non-Alcoholic "Mulled Wine" with added Baobab

Method

  1. Pour the juice and water into a saucepan. Put on low heat.
  2. Add the lemon zest and orange, orange slices, spices and herbs. Mix well.
  3. Wait until the drink warms up, but not boiling. Once small bubbles appear on the surface, switch off the heat.
  4. Cover the pan with a lid and let it brew for 15-20 minutes to bring out the wonderful flavour of spices.
  5. Add the baobab powder and honey then stir until dissolved. Wait an additional 10 minutes for the drink's flavours to infuse.
  6. Before you pour the mulled wine into the glass, you can drain it first in the pitcher - so as to not have any fruit/spice bits left in.
  7. When you've done that, pour the drink into a glass.
  8. Relax, drink and enjoy!
